incorruptible and lavish.

Ephesians 6:24 (NASB)

^"Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love." 

How is your relationship with Christ? Not the things you believe you do for him, nor the things you believe he does with you in mind. I am specifically asking about your relationship...friendship, intimacy, love factor, heart strings....How is your relationship with Christ? 

Do you LOVE HIM with an INCORRUPTIBLE love? 

Gosh, I'd like to think I do, because the ache of love I have for Him and the daily dance and eye contact we have melts my heart...but it's a good question to consider (not out of fear or law, just a temperature check)...

Incorruptible is a kind of love that cannot be corrupted, and cannot decay. it cannot be bribed. (thank you Noah!) Do you love Jesus with that kind of love - the kind of love that never fails, nor is changed by the change in your circumstances and His role in them. Scripture here tells us that grace will be with those who love Christ like that: legitimately and fully, never ending and not to be altered....this love is not forced, nor confined by action and work. It's permanently organic - the kind of paradox that only God could arrange. :)It does not change, but it is manifested in a personal and bountiful and natural way.

Have you received today that the Lord Jesus Christ (in His authority as Lord, leader of all of the terrain of your life, and Promised One) loves YOU with an incorruptible love?

The kind of love that will not change depending on your mood, your action for him, your actions with him, your action against him, the choices you make, the way you respond to the circumstances that he has allowed.  The kind of love that sees, hears, observes, loves, covers, shelters, and adores....

take it in. 

receive it today, my friend. 

you are loved just as you are. 

maybe, say it aloud. 

"I am loved just as I am"

no more. no less. 

can you agree with God in that? Can you agree with the Lord Jesus Christ - who loves you with an incorruptible love?

the love gift that comes from God (who IS love, by very nature and foundation of being - 1 John 4:8) is so GRACIOUS that is allows you so much space to be you (he did make you, afterall and you have not surprised him yet) and demands nothing. that's worth repeating. nothing. no demands. free of demands. his love is gracious and incorruptible.

Grace be to you today in your Love to the Lord Jesus Christ. And Gracious favor to you today as you receive his lavish love.
