Isaiah 9:6 “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the
government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”
Verse 1
O come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye o come ye
To Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of angels
O come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye o come ye
To Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of angels
Come and behold the babe, the king of angels!
last night while at church singing this song, i had an image of my own self BEHOLDING the babe right there in the manger with Mary, and Joseph, and the Shepherds...
I was standing in that musty cave poised with awe and surrounded by light
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
Luke 2:5-7 "in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth."
adore this beautiful baby, would you?
he is pure innocence, wrapped taut in strips of cloth.
in the my image[imagination], I was given this babe to hold...there I was standing next to the chosen woman who bore him and birthed him, holding her son. Beholding her son. I was poised with awe and surrounded by light.
Chorus 1
Oh come, all ye faithful
Come let us adore Him
Oh come, all ye faithful
Come let us adore Him
Oh come, all ye faithful
Come let us adore Him
Oh come, all ye faithful
Come let us adore Him
I was cuddling the babe of the world - the Only One who has power and might, but came quietly and softly. Though a baby, his presence was consuming, and his grace was true.
this baby looked at me, not with the wandering gaze of a baby, but with the scope eternity.
i have locked eyes with the man Messiah, but never the babe. and this moment has continued to stun me, since i imaged him and I last night.
i was poised in awe and surrounded by light.
Verse 2
Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
Sing all ye citizens
of heaven above
Glory to God
All glory in the highest
Sing choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
Sing all ye citizens
of heaven above
Glory to God
All glory in the highest
Luke 2:8-14 "In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”
And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
baby jesus giggled and coo-ed right there in my arms. :) What jubilee that sound is!
and when he met me with his eyes, i saw infinite grace, abundant joy, and reveling intimacy....that was for me.
I kept saying his name: Immanuel, Immanuel, Jesus Christ, Immanuel, Jesus, Christ child, Immanuel, Jesus Christ......
how would he look at you - what message would his eye contact give you? (In this image picture, I am pretty sure he looked at the shepherds with courage and friendship; the wisemen with revelation and truth...)
I encourage you to consider it - because He sees You exactly where you are and with whatever posture you are in. Not just the man, but the baby. How would you greet baby Jesus? What would you say?
REPEAT CHORUS 1
Chorus 2
Oh sing hallelujah
Come let us adore Him
Oh sing hallelujah
Come let us adore Him
Chorus 2
Oh sing hallelujah
Come let us adore Him
Oh sing hallelujah
Come let us adore Him
Verse 3
Yes Lord, we greet Thee
Born this happy morning
Jesus to Thee be all
Glory giv'n
Word of the Father
Now in flesh appearing
John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish."
We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish."
Adoration. Adoration is all I can sum up right now. Adoration and peace. That's what this day is for me, right now. Adoring the babe, who became TRUTH IN REAL LIFE, on whom government rests, and with WHOM fulfillment of prophecy and full redemption would be had.
O come let us adore Him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore Him
Christ the Lord
