a perfect day for childlike trust

Psalm 4:5 (NASB)

5 Offer [a]the (A)sacrifices of righteousness,
And (B)trust in the LORD.

Psalm 28:7 (NASB)

7 The LORD is my (A)strength and my (B)shield;
My heart (C)trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore (D)my heart exults,
And with (E)my song I shall thank Him.

so many things I have learned this year have not become habit yet. i am confessing it and stating it as a matter-of-fact. I am not slave to this difficulty, just aware.
Hear me....So many things God gave me revelation of and freed me from (and INTO) have not entered into routine in my soul from my Spirit....and there are moments where I ACHE that they would, cause that would be grander than to vacillate between what I know & have learned; and what is habitual experience.
Do you feel the difference too? Where you know something is true, you've learned it and it's become yours...but often times, your flesh reacts as if it still remembers how good the "old" ways were.
that's happened many times in the past few weeks for me. And in the last 24 hours, I've gotten some solid encouragement and enjoyed some solid reminders of truth.
today what struck me was: "today is a perfect day for child like trust."
What strikes me about this is the "child like trust" ... faith is believing that God is God is God and His character is true. childlike trust is just the kind of playful and unhindered commitment that comes from wide-eyed adoration... child like trust is the kind of curiosity that stirs out of loyalty to One Who Cares. trust. it secures a foundation, bridges gaps of distance, and empowers.
children trust with all of their hearts, with all of their health, with all of their safety, with all of their fears, and all of their growth....it's unabashed and unhindered.
that's how I desire to trust God these days: unhindered abiding, unabashed trust.
the things that are still forming into habits within me, these are the things I wish that they'd be refined by a new intention to child-like trust....trust God with my hearts, health, safety, fears, growth...
because trusting God is trusting God with the consequences and the unknown. because the unknown is frantic and it's easy to harbor anxiety about "what could be" ...
nope.
child-like trust.
it's an intention and an awareness, I am enjoying today.
today IS a perfect day for "child-like trust."

Luke 1: 38, 46-55
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
Mary’s Song
46 And Mary said:
   “My soul glorifies the Lord; and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful
   of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
   holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him,
   from generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
   he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones
   but has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
   but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel,
   remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”
