Grace Upon Grace

“And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” John 1:16

This is the Word of God. Thanks be to God.

The fullness of our Heavenly Father spilled over into the Son (Colossians 1:19),

The Son Emanates Word in Flesh (John 1:1-2),

The glory of the Lord shone round about (Luke 2:9),

The fullness of the Son is a fullness of grace and fullness of truth (John 14:6), not sloppy or ignorant fullness,

The Lord is abundantly full, He has no lack (Ephesians 3:19).

Pursuing Fullness

Divine fullness

Glorious fullness

Steady fullness
Infinite fullness

From His Fullness. His part.

We receive. That is our Part.

Step back and soak in it. The Word is not confusing or ambiguous here. Receive the grace upon grace. Get ALL UP IN IT. There is a helping and a heaping of grace before you, around you, toward you, and it's FROM HIM.

He didn’t have to, and yet out of his fullness He gave.

He could’ve looked the other way, and not let the guilty man go free (we are like Barabbas in John 18!!).

It’s fullness. Extravagant, Entirely, and Profoundly full. Grace Upon Grace – it’s so good it heaps on top of itself again and again!


Thanks be to God! 

I pray that you may embrace and receive;

that you may integrate (which means to be “made entire”) the fullness from the Lord.

I pray that you receive grace upon grace.
